The Creative Learning Company specializes in the design and implementation of workshops, educational materials and spaces for hands-on, interest-based and invention-oriented learning. Our goal is to provide learners of all ages with opportunities to create their own world by tinkering with both new and familiar materials and to express themselves in meaningful ways.
An offspring of the MIT Media Lab and the Harvard School of Education, our team is comprised of artists, educators, researchers, designers and technologists with decades of experience working on creative learning projects with schools, community groups, governments, businesses, and private organizations from all over the world.
Our projects include the Duct Tape Network (DTN), a series of fun, hands-on maker clubs that encourage children 7-10 to use cardboard, tape, wood, fabric, LED lights, motors, and more to bring their stories and inventions to life. People around the globe have been using the DTN Guidebook as an inspiration to design maker activities in their communities.
