Public Design Meeting #5 - Tribune Building Project6

At Meeting #5 in August, residents worked together to analyze and rate
sustainable elements, concepts and practices for use in and surrounding the
Tribune Building.
Please join us for the final meeting of the Design Phase on September 30.
This meeting will focus on how community stories will be showcased through
artistic design at the Tribune Building, as part of the ArtPlace America
grant.
Bring your family, friends, colleagues and neighbors! Everyone’s input is
important to create a space that celebrates the vision and voice of our
community.

Help an adult learn to read! Volunteer with the Central Wisconsin Literacy
Council (CWLC)! Volunteers are needed to help adults develop English literacy
skills in reading, speaking, writing, math and computers.
CWLC is offering Tutor Training in Wausau Sept. 29, Oct. 6, and Oct. 13.
Training requires 12 hours including 10 hours in-class and two hours of
homework between sessions.
CWLC follows the English Forward curriculum and provides everyone with
materials to become an excellent tutor. No experience is necessary. Tutors
must be at least 18 and a high school graduate.
Contact the CWLC at centralwisconsinliteracy@gmail.com or complete a Tutor
Application on their website. Pre-registration is required for the training,
which includes a light supper each week.
